Artist Statement
In this artwork, I explored the feeling of losing control through an upside-down flower. The hand gripping the stem represents the desire to hold on, while the downward-facing flower symbolizes the feeling of everything slipping away. I used different shades of blue and purple to create a cold, unsettling atmosphere. The unpredictable textures in the background reflect the chaos and uncertainty that come with losing control. Through contrasting colors, shading, and composition, I wanted to show the struggle between trying to maintain control and accepting that some things are beyond our grasp.
