Artist Statement

This artwork was inspired by the shape of the famous Yami or Tao tribe boats from Orchid Island. I wanted to showcase a part of indigenous culture by utilizing mimietic architecture. The boat building over watches the coast of the island, highlighting the beautiful nature that this country possesses.
