Artist Statement
In my sustained investigation, I wanted to explore more of the minority religions in Taiwan and have always been fascinated by the architecture of mosques. This artwork was inspired by the Taipei Grand Mosque. The use of floor to ceiling windows creates this ethereal lighting and the domed structure was also an element taken from the mosque. This artwork hopes to showcase diversity in Taiwan and tolerance towards different religions.
