Artist Statement
Christopher Boyd visited out class and taught us the basics of animation, the 3 lessons culminating in each of us making an animation of some fireworks. As I worked on the fireworks in reminded me of my familys yearly 4th of July traditions and I decided to put me and a family friend in the foreground, based off a picture from the 4th of July this summer. This piece feels similarly nostalgic to the way my Shadow of Grace one did and hopefully emphasizes the way I value the traditions I have with my family.
