Artist Statement
I intended to explore confusion by drawing a figure who seems to have three of itself, unsure of his own actions. The way the two figures on the sides are extruding outwards into different directions emphasizes the competing thoughts one has while overwhelmed with confusion. The background shows clear layered mark making with a dark blue ombré base to express the internal conflicts of the figure.
