Artist Statement
Inspired by a trip to Yellowstone Park, this piece depicts a dead large tree surrounded by a bunch of young and still growing trees. Forest fires are extremely common and is what some consider to be the leading cause of deforestation. However, in reality, nature combats this by using the debris from the burned down trees to foster the next generation of trees, showing how powerful yet beautiful nature can be
