Artist Statement
For this artwork, I took inspiration from a museum image I found in a magazine. I wanted to capture the feeling of looking out at an open horizon. The most fun part was layering the paint and building up the textures, but it was also challenging to make the gradient look smooth without over-mixing the shades. Overall, this project taught me patience and how color can create different moods.
