Artist Statement
This is based off of the Starman from the Mother series, particularly the Final Starman variant. The Starmen are these weird alien things that are kinda robots and also not. Their dialogue implies that they are robots, but the rust promoter (item which damages robot enemies) doesn't work on them which means they are probably organic beings. They're these funny little guys that never move their limbs and teleport around instead, which is kinda cool. The player guide calls them robots, but the ghost of Starman variant is referred to as an alien, and if they were robots then I don't think they would become ghosts, so they're probably these cyborg things inside of some weird skin suit. I was also kinda inspired by the enemies in mother 3, where the pigmasks go around turning animals into evil cyborgs. I tried to make mine look more robotic so it looks more like a cyborg thing and less like an alien.
