Artist Statement
For this project, we practiced using several carving techniques to creafe texture and impressions on solid block printers.After creating printers, we used the rolling machine to press them onto sheets of paper, then assembled them with other students to create a cohesive artwork. I initially had some difficulty with creating the uniform, straight lines that the sketch required. Because of this, i elected to implement bold patterns on some sections to distract from that effect.
