Artist Statement
My idea for my car design was to make it feel modern, based on car brands such as BMW, as well as cars that I have seen around Taipei, where I grew up. I sketched many preliminary ideas I had as I was inspired by skeletal forms, and then I immediately thought of Banyan trees that I see around my neighborhood, and decided this would represent my childhood and a symbol of my Taiwanese identity.
