Artist Statement
To practice the sketch, I watched sketching videos online to teach myself how to draw the car more freely. Since it was an object I don't often draw, the sketches looked very rigid and disproportionate in the beginning. However, after multiple sketches, I was able to draw them with more movement and with more aerodynamic features. I learnt different methods to draw the car, such as the 3:2 ratio for the wheel width, and also drawing a box to fit the car sketch in. These practices helped me understand the car features more spatially.
