Artist Statement
I am intrigued by the form of Yuhuchun vases, especially the rounded bottom and slender neck. I also like how there are elements of nature on the surface of the vase in the first slide.
I am inspired by Kathy Butterly's approach to manipulates clay, particularly how she creates folds on her pieces. I also admire how she combines sculpting, painting, and texture
