Artist Statement
Betty Woodman:
Uses italian, Tang Dynasty, and Ukiyo-e prints as insparation for her pieces, her big thing was to make functional pieces art. She also traveled the world to get insparation and belived that seeing the world is important, which I resonate with.
Shari Sikora:
Enjoys the simplicity in clay, does a lot of roku firing, and has a bunch of nature motifs in her work. I enjoyed her style of designs she had on her work, and I always love nature motifs.
Kate Malone:
Heavily inspired by nature, specifically fruits and vegtables. The belifs strongly that art should be accessible in education, and started FiredUp4, a charity that help pottery clubs for kids after school. I liked her work becasue it was really cool all the different shapes and varitey she had in her work, and her belif in equal education.
