Artist Statement
Daniel Arsham is one of my favorite artists of all time, I love how, although his drawings/sculptures are very realistic, he made everything into his own style, his fictional archeology, every one of his pieces is something eroded with crystals in it. I have this astronaut culture of his at home, and it inspired me to create this painting by making me think of astronauts from a different perspective; it doesn't have to be a human inside, it could be anything. So I decided to fill my astronaut with water.
