Artist Statement
Three subjects, two hands, one sculpture — the simplicity of this piece was meant to depict the fragile natures of human connections/relationships. As the hand structure is seemingly durable and solid, when seen up close, the hands are actually chipping away, creating a delicate and brittle form. The blue string symbolizing trust and stability holds the fragile forms of the hands together, representing the tension between vulnerability and strength.
