Artist Statement
Something that I’ve recently enjoyed doing has been painting my eyes in different color schemes. It started from me following a trend I saw on tiktok and progressed into me trying to experiment with my style and use of colors.
I love the ways my pieces turned out and I wanted to see my family in the same way. I think eyes are such an important feature and show you a lot about a person. I wanted my family to choose their favorite palettes because that similarly reflects them and their personality in a way that I can’t on my own.
I chose to do this piece on Procreate both because it’s a medium that I feel strong in and because it allowed me a lot more creative freedom in the colors and vibrancy of the pieces.
