Artist Statement

For this piece, I wanted to explore how a close up and a dichromatic color scheme could enhance the fear in a artwork. The use of the dichromatic color scheme makes the painting more dramatic and intense, while the close up makes the focus of the artwork onto her face and terrified facial expressions.
