Artist Statement
In this piece, I am only painting the coloring in the space next to my grandparents and revealing the naked background in the area they are not in. This abstraction is used to emphasize the way love mutes everything around us. Furthermore, the expressional brushstrokes are used to make the painting seem as if it is capturing a precious and loving moment.
