Artist Statement
For this project, we had to build a large sculpture or pot without coils of clay. The theme was for the pot to connect to who we are, so I incorporated the Chinese Cultural element of a red lantern. I thought it would be interesting for light to be spilling out of it so that it could also act as a stand for the lantern.
