Artist Statement
I utilized the disortion of an analog collage to emphasize the complicated feeling of hiding one's true emotion. The stream of tears that are still visible is to suggest how depite us trying, our emotions are still visible. Furthermore, the messy background emphasizes the overwhelming feeling when your are experiencing a complicated feeling. The use of the yarns add an interesting touch the the collage, making the idea of concealment more literal and obvious.
