Artist Statement
I took inspiration from a seahorse, a creature that embodies both grace and vulnerability within the marine realm. This sculpture, crafted from wire and coated with plaster, presents a striking contrast between the rough surface and the dynamic form of the seahorse. The black and white checkered spray paint evokes the spine, suggesting a sense of fragility amid strength.
