Artist Statement
I tried to capture the scene I saw when I was on the plane and looked at the ocean during sunset. I originally started with a panel of a magazine but it quickly got out of control when i saw others do something a lot more abstract than I was. I made the green and blue by splashing paint on my canvas after it sat in the sun for a bit to make it more liquidy to give it more of the ocean texture. The silver on the other side was originally just to erase the background i made before the abstact pivot, but now it represents the plane.
