Artist Statement
In this painting, I wanted something unique, so I drew the moon and used colors that stood out such as red or yellow to show a catastrophe or a mess that had just happened.
In this artwork I used drip painting to get the blobs of acrylic, and to also mimic the explosions. I also used the technique of stippling with a wide brush to get a sandpaper texture that was similar to the sandy texture of the moon.
