Artist Statement
The medium for this artwork is acrylic painting, the primary technique that i used was dabbing, which was bouncing the brush vertically onto the canvas to create soft patches rather than lined strokes. However, despite the success of the painting, I had still experienced some challanges on the way. For example, while creating the paiting I struggled to make the colors contrast, as originally, I had only used blue, causing the painting to appear plain and somewhat dull. Ultimatly I decided to dab the green colors over the teal blue creating a subtle contrast, even if the difference in colors had been extreamly minimal (not nessasarily "poping" out) it had still allowed the artwork to appear more complete and abract.
