Artist Statement
This artwork is supposed to symbolize the helpless and goalless feeling when in a new environment. The positioning of the scenes symbolize how the helplessness can entrap a person in their thoughts. The vertical orientation of the first two scenes shows the conversion from purity and innocence to the constant chaos and stress in the new environment.
The title also draws to the fact that sometimes these transitions are not decided by the affected subject, and are often spontaneous, abrupt, and painful.
