Artist Statement
I created this small, smooth, circular cup with the intention of using it for a little matcha drink. I wanted the simple, rounded shape to make the cup comfortable to hold while also giving it a clean and minimal appearance. Its small size makes it perfect for serving a concentrated matcha drink.
This piece is just the beginning of my experience with ceramics, and I know there are many areas I can improve. In the future, I hope to make my pieces even smoother and more refined while continuing to improve my shaping and technique. Overall, I wanted to create something simple, functional, and personal while using it as a starting point for developing my skills.
