Artist Statement
My artwork explores the connection between digital creativity, architecture, and artificial intelligence through the virtual world of Minecraft. Using Minecraft as my main artistic medium, I designed and built a series of structures that combine modern architecture with imaginative environments. The project includes a contemporary fast-food restaurant, a detailed fountain, and a minimalist high-rise building. Each structure reflects my interest in balance, geometry, lighting, and spatial design.
Although Minecraft is often seen as a game, I approached it as a creative platform similar to digital sculpture or architectural modeling. The block-based limitations of Minecraft challenged me to think carefully about proportion, texture, and composition. Every block placement became intentional, transforming simple cubes into realistic and visually engaging forms. I used contrast between materials, colors, and lighting to create atmosphere and depth, especially in nighttime scenes where artificial lighting plays an important role.
To further develop the realism of my artwork, I used ChatGPT as a creative tool to help refine and present the images in a more realistic and professional way. This process reflects how technology and artificial intelligence are becoming part of modern artistic practice. Rather than replacing creativity, AI supported my ideas by helping enhance presentation and visual storytelling. The combination of Minecraft and AI allowed me to merge imagination with realism, creating artwork that exists between gaming, architecture, and digital art.
This project represents how younger generations create art using new technologies and virtual spaces. My work challenges traditional ideas of what art can be by showing that creativity can exist inside digital worlds. Through this artwork, I wanted to demonstrate that video games are not only for entertainment, but can also become meaningful tools for artistic expression, design, and innovation.
