Artist Statement
Set in the vibrant streets of Haight-Ashbury during Summer of Love in 1967, a teenage girl named Hazel was searching for the perfect green cape for until she wanders into a quirky vintage thrift shop. She’s drawn to a well-dressed girl, Daisy, wearing the exact cape she is looking for. As she continued shopping, an unnervingly cheerful clerk offers to help and presents Hazel with the exact cape she admired. But once Hazel steps into the fitting room, things take a dark turn. The door locks behind her, and she could not get out. The film ends with a chilling twist: Hazel has vanished— becomes one of the mannequins, as the clerk hands Hazel’s clothes to a new customer with a smile.
