Artist Statement
For my pieces, I combined Shio Kusaka's style of simple-shaped pieces, and I also kind of got inspiration from Roberto Lugo to put repeated designs on my pots to make them look fuller.
For the first piece, I wanted to make a pot that I could use as a plant holder or even a candle holder, and I made this pot blue so that the patterns all around looked like teardrops.
For the second piece i I wanted to make something more practical that i could use so i decided to make a teapot, i really liked how the tear drops looked on my first piece so i decided to incorporate it also in my second piece my painting the patterns on it.
