Artist Statement
The heart is also one of my favorite artworks because this piece was actually inspired by the short story by Edgar Allan Poe called Tell-Tale Heart. When I made this paper clay heart, I initially started with only the straws, and I thought that twisting the upper part would make the image look cooler. And then I decided to add the heart to the middle, and then I colored it with so many different colors because that is the reoccurring theme that is in all of my artworks.
