Artist Statement
I learned how to use Sub-D for this piece which allowed me to build organic shapes easily. I experimented with different designs of coral-like structures to see which techniques would look the best. For this piece, I wanted to incorporate the idea of dead corals which is why I went for a less colorful structure. I also wanted there to be layers to give it more dimension and depth.
