Artist Statement
When creating my reimagined historic form i started off by thinking about the idea/concept of this design. I then came up with the idea of a bull as it is the signature animal of Italy and the reason I chose an animal is because I thought it would be creative, like the sphinx (lion body). The next step to achieving this bull was to start working on the legs, which I thought it was a col idea to make the leaning tower of pisa as the legs. So then I copied my assignment 2 project onto this new one (atleast 4 times for the 2 legs and hands), which I then made a few tweaks in sizing and scaling so that it would suit a body with the same posture as a bull. After pasting the legs and hands I started to work on the body/torso. On the torso I basically just paced the tower onto my rhino project, then flipped it horizontally, as that is the same posture as a bull. After that, I stretched it different ways so that it would suit the legs. When making the head, I tried to shape it so that it would be the same shape as the bull's head using the boolean difference tool. It ended up being a success, but then after I wanted to add horns and a tail to the bull. So I pasted the leaning tower of pisa into my project and then used the bend tool to make it into the same shape into horns and a tail using different sizes obviously. After that I used the boolean difference tool again to add some additional details such as the nose, inside room and the eyes. For the nose and eyes I used the sphere tool to carve them in. For the inside room, I used the box shape to carve it as it is more reasonable for a room. For the last touches, I used chaos cosmos to give the structure a nice marble material as well as giving the hidden room inside some decoration including a TV, chairs and even some lights. After that I rendered it and overall i'd say this project went very well.
