Artist Statement
Sometimes, when my mind is racing with too many thoughts, a brief nap with my arms as a pillow on the desk feels incredible restorative as if I’d slept for hours. I think of that momentary respite as an interlude in the long sentence of my busy day. This rest is a moment of pure relief, like a fragrant, multicolored rain of flower petals being showered down on me.
This collage visualize that precious pause, a layered composition of textures, colors, and fragments that represent the mind’s gentle drift into rest. Like petals falling softly, each element in the work creates a sense of weightlessness and peace, capturing the essence of an interlude where time stands still and the world feels gentle again.
