Artist Statement
Through my sustained investigation, I explore variations of art styles as a reflection of exploring potential life pathways I could take. I am someone who believes that there aren't enough hours in a day to do all the things I would like to, and I find myself constantly wishing that I could be all that I want to be in life, whether that's being a rancher or being a PhD candidate. By using line width, value, and curve as a medium of exploration, I can encompass my passions through self-insertion, escaping the career limitations that societal expectations and monetary struggles inflict on me.
