Artist Statement
My sustained investigation explores how framing devices, both natural and manmade, can shape moments of stillness and connection between humans and their surroundings. I experiment with perspective, transparency, and composition to examine how frames such as phone screens, umbrellas, and arches influence what we notice or overlook. Through variations in light, texture, and spatial depth, I aim to reveal how boundaries can both isolate and unify. This process allows me to study perception itself, how seeing through a “frame” changes the emotional meaning of a scene.
