For my dream place, I chose to design an environment where I will feel comfortable and quiet. As a person who does not like to listen to my friends talk while studying, I would rather study alone in a quiet environment, so I decided to make it small. The walls are all made out of glass because I feel like being able to feel the sunshine can greatly impact someone's mood and lighten up their day. I chose to shape my dream place like a pentagon because, in the beginning, when I was going to shape it into a rectangle, it seemed really boring, so I changed it up. The pentagon was chosen instead of other shapes because it was the only one available, and I know how to use it in Rhino. I placed some plants outside the place and purposely on the stairways to make it more unique, the stairs too. I was going to make the flooring grass, but it was really weird, so I changed it to a random tile flooring that looks normal. A comfortable environment must have a comfy rug and a sofa. The trash can is just there to fill up the space. The materials I used in the design are wood, tiles, and marble. To me, I feel like having a comfortable environment means having wood as the flooring because it is slippery and feels like an indoor, like home (my house has wood flooring). Marble was just an extra choice. I was going to use tiles, but since it’s already used as the big flooring, I did not use it. White is also a more comfortable color, so I chose to do marble. I also added two bookshelves because, of course, you need places to store your books and read. My dream place is the perfect environment to just chill and read.
