Artist Statement
My experience of growing up exposed to diverse cultures from attending an international school and traveling has made me an observant person. In today’s world, globalization is so widespread that it is often difficult to determine where someone is at based on their surroundings or the food they are consuming - elements of culture no longer belong exclusively to their origins. This realization sparked my interest in architecture as well as cuisine, so I asked myself: how can I use art to explore the tension between order and chaos in architectural spaces with the natural disorder of food?
