Artist Statement
In what ways can color and contrast portray isolation? In my investigation, I want to highlight the human emotion of loneliness and isolation. Utilizing how different colors bring out different levels of discomfort and familiarity, I want to explore the idea of loneliness ability to range from waves of desperation to comfortable silence. Contrast between color and figures themselves with the sense of the questions of if a person is truly alone. Through my art, I want people to realize that the effects of isolation is endless and there are always multiple effects throughout life, either they be negative or positive.
