Artist Statement
When we think of artificial things, we often envision objects shaped out of human effort — a chance to achieve perfection that surpasses the limitations of natural occurrences. My work, however, was painted with only hands, resulting in imperfect round shapes. The lines are wobbly and some do not follow the right direction. Through this, I hope to communicate that it is okay to have imperfections and embrace mistakes. Art can be imperfect, crafted through creative ways that go beyond the traditional brush. This idea extends to other forms of work as well.
