Artist Statement: "Hero vs. Villain: The Battle of Archetypes"
This architectural project explores the contrasting forces of heroism and villainy through the iconic characters of Indiana Jones and Chucky. Indiana Jones, the adventurous hero, is represented through expansive, open spaces filled with light, evoking exploration, history, and optimism. In contrast, Chucky’s sinister world is defined by dark, claustrophobic spaces that subvert the familiar, creating a sense of fear and discomfort.
By juxtaposing these two characters, I aim to show how architecture can embody these opposing forces—light versus dark, order versus chaos. Through this design, I explore how built environments can tell stories and provoke emotion, challenging perceptions of space and narrative.
