Artist Statement
Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb serve as an unlikely source of architectural inspiration, embodying the eternal hero-villain dichotomy through their elaborate and contrasting designs. Dr. Doofenshmirtz's lairs, characterized by their chaotic yet inventive structures, reflect his quirky villainous persona, while Perry’s sleek and functional hideouts emphasize precision and purpose. This juxtaposition sparked my fascination with how architecture can narrate a story of conflict and resolution. Their dynamic taught me that spaces could mirror personality and intention, inspiring me to explore designs that juxtapose chaos and order to create environments that challenge conventional norms and provoke thought, much like the hero and villain's eternal dance.
